Artist Bio

From one of the hottest up-and-coming cities of the Midwest, you’ll find artist Nick Rowland, captivating the music scene of Grand Rapids, MI with the vibrant look and sounds of his alias, Super Future. Rowland’s style is a diverse combination of wildly experimental freeform bass, beautiful melodies, and bright future-style synths, all complimented by virtuosic guitar solos. With all of the genres his art blends, his range and originality are creating a larger and more impressive musical force with each coming year. With major artists like LSDREAM, Minnesota, Subtronics, Slushii, Martin Garrix, MeSo and UZ all supporting his music, his Future is definitely looking Super.

It’s easy to hear that Rowland’s musical inclination was discovered at an early age, when he was shredding classics on guitar. His music today taps into his early love for live instrumentation, with elements of various guitar and percussion types underneath the powerful synths showcasing his sound. You’ll hear his love for all styles in his self-titled debut EP “Super Future” where he brings forward his proclaimed genres Vibrant Beat and World Trap. As Nick’s musical style evolved, he began coupling his love for Future Bass with the fast-growing “Freeform Bass” movement… in which there are no boundaries to sound and the designing of new sounds is creating groundbreaking auditory movements. Rowland has put these sound skills to good use with friends like MeSo and the Spicy Bois, and also with Wreckno on their forthcoming “Hypernatural” EP (Jan 2020). His forthcoming album, "Prisms" is rumored to be dropping in 2020 as well with Chroma Records, which contains the addition of his live guitar and developing original sound. More EP’s on other affiliate platforms will be coming in 2020 to showcase his complete range of sound!

Super Future offers more than just an array of jaw-dropping vibrant sounds. Catch him on his first US tour with his friend Wreckno (“Hypernatural Tour"), or at one of his underground parties with growing underground legends of the bass music scene, or shows sharing the stage with the likes of big names from Zeds Dead to What So Not, and be swept up in the energy of his crowds! Rowland can perform, produce, and cultivate new talent as well. In just three years he and his team successfully grew Grand Rapids' Samsara Family Collective, into a major experimental platform for many talented, budding artists that can now sell out Michigan’s world-class venues. This collective has created devout community and a wave of new music in the Midwest with their new and distinct experimental trap sounds and underground events.

In 2017, 2018 and 2019, national tastemakers such as YourEDM, Run The Trap, Earmilk, Electric Hawk, FUXWITHIT, The Untz, and many more have begun to support his music, and others such as EDM Sauce have placed Super Future in their list of top artists to watch in 2019. As the 2018 "Staff Pick" winner of the national songwriting contest "The Untz Challenge", Rowland has had his epic first year of national festival touring, playing massive festival stages such as Electric Forest, Imagine, Spring Awakening, Sonic Bloom and more! Heads are turned his way for 2020 and beyond, waiting to see what he can curate for his Future. Keep him in your scope in 2020 and you’ll find him blossoming brilliant artists, creating new types of music and bringing energy to major artists he shares the stage with!

💎 The Future is indeed, Super 💎
